Pauline Hanson’s One Nation party is right to consider that its policies have been given support by the election of Trump.
Now would be a good time for the One Nation Leadership to consider how it may become more influential than they can ever be by having just 4 out of 76 Federal Senators.
It is the State governments that control planning laws - and have the opportunity to require social impact statements on planning applications for Mosques.
It is the State governments that are in charge of Education and could introduce an Islamic Schools Watchdog.
It is the State governments that are in charge of the criminal laws and could implement a reversal of the onus of proof on female child genital mutilation so that parents of such children are guilty unless they prove themselves innocent.
It is the State governments that could ban the provision of the Koran to prisoners, specially those with terrorist convictions.
The State governments (and ACT) that have passed tough new religious villification laws could be made to apply them equally against all who preach villification of, and violence - even death to others on the basis of a different belief.
Now would be a good time for Senator Hanson to consider standing for a safe Queensland seat with the objective of rallying the electors in Queensland to a landslide election result which would more or less guarantee that One Nation would be the third or second largest party in the State Parliament.
