I saw a little boy on the television last night reciting for his instructor that he had learned that “Girls can do whatever they want.” The boy child’s face was riddled with quiz.
The domestic violence industry spokesperson self righteously asserted. “We are teaching boys that violence never solves problems.”
With another $150 million dollars going in to the domestic violence industry it is sad that we are doomed to fail.
Preaching such fantasy falsities during the last 40 years has not decreased but has increased the prevalence of domestic violence.
Those who pretend that they are completely non-violent delude themselves. They hide behind the Police and the Prison system which uses “such violence as is necessary” to clear the streets and physically imprison others on their behalf. They hide behind the armed forces which every Country has for physical, armed and fatal protection.
It is simply not true that girls, or women, or anyone else can “do whatever they want.”
There are many and varied circumstances , person to person and country to country, where that will cop you a punch in the head.
Don’t tell me that I am “missing the point”. It is a delusional wish to say that human kind has not, does not and needs not to use violence to solve problems. It is happening every second of every day.
If you snatch my toy from me at kindy. Must I not snatch it back simply because you are a girl.
It is an unbelievable falsity to teach that girls can do whatever they want.
This is not preventing but contributing to the domestic violence death of one or two women each week.
Locking up the “puncher” has to be done, but that is not enough.
We must un-ravel the escalation factors. It is certain that one party doing “whatever they want” is one of them.
I propose a modification of power to grant Magistrate’s, When dealing with domestic violence, to order not just one, but both of the parties, where appropriate, to participate in and be subjected to the same assessments and to keep away from each other.
